What is Happening?

Google and Yahoo are updating their requirements for all email senders in an effort to:

  • Protect recipients from malicious emails, like spoofing and phishing messages.

  • Protect you and your business from being impersonated in the inbox.

  • Help decrease the likelihood of your emails from quality senders being rejected or marked as spam by Google and Yahoo's inbox filters.

When does this take effect?

Google's deadline is February 1st, 2024. Yahoo is set to implement these changes "in the first quarter of 2024."

Who does this affect?

Anyone who sends bulk emails (when you send emails to a group of contacts all at one time, using software like FG Funnels).

WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE IN PLACE

We have put together a checklist of the requirements below. You can also grab a downloadable version of the checklist here.
